Poem Titled "Little White Pill"

You offered me shelter from the storm
Within your company my fears were washed away
Leaving behind only traces of the torrent that swept me downstream

To look at you gave me the sunlight I desired
Always behind me, you stood in my shadow
Allowing the bright rays to pierce my darkness

Each moment together our bond grew stronger
Hours turning into days, nights into weeks
Gradually becoming harder to hide from society

But for as long as I have known you
Felt your warmth and curled up in your arms
I have known it was only temporary

A love like this could not last forever
One day you would leave me
One day I would have to stand alone

Once again I would be swept away by my fears
Only to be left cold and lifeless on the banks of a river
Searching for sunlight beyond darkened horizons

I loved you like a only a partner could
Trusted you with my life, shared my inner self
And clung to you for longer than many would have

You gave me hope, albeit false
You gave me light, albeit artificial
And you gave me an addiction I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy

I still carry you with me today
But give me time and I will heal
Give me more time and I will forget
After all you were only a little white pill

great poem you know i didnt get it till near the end i thought you were writing about a lost love lol keep it up this your own original mate you have a talent so please dont ever stop writing poetry
