| Hey gayls, I saw your post in the FAQ and followed your link to join. I also have a forum here so if you need any help ask away, but it looks like you have a great handle on it...
I have been dealing with panic attack/aniexy since 1986, it just hit me out of the blue. It turned into agoraphobia at first, but that lasted about a year and went away by self help and counseling. Today, the aniexy comes and goes as mine come in waves as well. I still cannot go in elevators or places I don't know the lay out.
My safe place out there is the restrooms so I must always know where they are. If I don't my husband finds them for me and then comes to get me. I don't know why the restrooms are my safe place. It is just a weird association.

welcome to the site i hope you find it helpful for you, myself and cheer are fellow sufferers and are only to glad to help you in anyway we can. I too am a sufferer and it comes and goes to if i dont get a handle on it will run away. I am still working on the site and doing improvements. iIknow what you are saying about the safe place mine is my bedroom or in the car .
